My days start with Darjeeling and whatever light the city offers; they often end with a Manhattan, dissecting art and theater with friends. Life is full of reading and film, cooking and making sense of things, and every year I spend a week hiking in the National Parks. I catch my breath in museums, use the word “quotidian” almost daily, and believe in the transformational power of an oatmeal raisin cookie. 

I’ve spent the past decade running my own communications firm, and I currently sit on the board of Soho Rep and the advisory board of NYU’s Ethics & Journalism initiative. 

Originally from Washington State, I now call Harlem home.
